It was a wee bit slight, and given that I read Dan Simmons'
The Terror last year, Paver had a helluva task trying to reach that book's nerve-wracking exploration of the impact of a spooky Artic landscape.... but it was still enjoyable. (If you really want to get those chewin'-jerky-cabin-fever-Shackletonian shivers, go Simmons.)
