Generation Loss - Elizabeth Hand Invigorating--dark, lush prose and a dark, unprosaic lush as a protagonist. The novel--and Cass Neary--kept surprising amd seducing me. The end skewed more conventionally into crime guignol, but for much of its running time I wondered--in every sense of that word--where things were headed. Great stuff.
